iDebit Casinos in Canada:
How Direct Bank Deposits Work
iDebit lets you pay a Canadian online casino straight from your online banking. You sign in to your bank through iDebit, approve the amount, and the casino only sees a payment confirmation. For another way to pay from your bank, see Interac e-Transfer.
What iDebit is and how it works
iDebit is a Canadian online-banking payment service. For a deposit it works as a pass-through: you pick it in the cashier, it redirects you to your bank’s login page, you sign in with your usual credentials and approve a bill payment or funds transfer for the amount entered.
The casino receives a real-time confirmation and adds the funds to your balance. iDebit states that your banking credentials stay between you and your bank, that nothing is stored on its side (which is why you re-enter the login every time) and that no personal information reaches the merchant. You can check out as a guest or register first. Registration is free and asks for your date of birth to confirm you are 18 or older; the casino then applies your province’s legal age, 19 in Ontario and most other provinces.
What happened to Instadebit. Instadebit’s website returned a page-not-found error when we checked in October 2026, so we could not confirm whether it still takes deposits. Check the cashier. The two closest substitutes are Interac e-Transfer, offered at over 250 participating banks and credit unions, according to Interac, and iDebit, which keeps the same sign-in-to-your-bank approach.
One caution before you rely on it. On 12 October 2026 idebit.com showed a US instant-payments business site with no pages for Canadian casino players, so we could not load a current list of supported banks, fees or terms. The account rules below come from iDebit’s FAQ and Terms of Use as previously published; we do not repeat its old fees, because we could not confirm them. Treat iDebit as available only where a cashier actually shows it, and keep a second method ready.

5 tips for using iDebit without surprises
Read your bank’s online-banking agreement first
iDebit’s own Terms of Use say your bank may discourage or prohibit sharing login details with a third party and may deny liability if you do. Know where you stand before typing your password into a redirected page.
Confirm iDebit is live in the cashier, not on a list
Payment menus change without notice and third-party lists go stale. Open the deposit page after you register and look for iDebit by name. If it is missing, Interac e-Transfer is the closest match.
Keep your details identical everywhere
The name and address on your iDebit account, bank account and casino account should match. Changing them at iDebit requires government photo ID, proof of address or a void cheque, and every operator runs its own KYC check before paying out. Mismatches are the usual reason a withdrawal stalls.
Do the fee arithmetic on small deposits
If the cashier shows a flat fee per iDebit payment, it weighs more on a small deposit than on a large one. Fewer, planned deposits cost less than many small ones and fit a fixed deposit limit at the casino.
Keep the emailed receipt
iDebit payments appear on your bank statement under a bank-specific descriptor, and the emailed receipt is the only place that descriptor and your updated transaction limit are spelled out. If a charge looks unfamiliar later, the receipt is what iDebit’s security team asks for first.
